Sans Pareil Online at NZ Fashion Week 2023

Sans Pareil was heavily involved with NZFW this year. As well as helping the art direction, marketing and production of two major designers showing Cecilia Kang and Jacqueline-Anne; we also were a major media platform for the event. Exclusive interviews, giveaways, images and partnerships were all part of the content we put out.

For Cecilia Kang Sans Pareil's involvement extended across various aspects of the event, ensuring that every detail was meticulously planned and executed.

For Jacqueline-Anne's main stage show, Sans Pareil was integral to the production process. This included crafting press releases, managing branded goodie bags, and establishing sponsorship partnerships.

As well as Robecca's work with Jacqueline-Anne, she also partnered with Cecilia Kang for her main stage show, where the focus was on sustainability and ethical fashion. Cecilia collaborated with Estele, an ethical jewellery brand, to enhance her 2023 themed collection. This partnership aligned perfectly with Robecca's vision of showcasing fashion that respects both artistry and ethical values.

For Cecilia's collection, Robecca aimed to evoke the dramatic and gothic elements reminiscent of Alexander McQueen’s iconic style.

A crucial element of Robecca's role was overseeing model casting, which was both inclusive and diverse. With hundreds of applicants, the goal was to find models of various genders, sizes, and ethnicities, as long as they could embody the flowing gowns’ elegance. The final selection featured a vibrant mix of backgrounds and abilities, showcasing the rich tapestry of Aotearoa’s society and challenging traditional beauty standards.

Robecca also spearheaded a collaboration with The Art Of Nails, renowned for their avant-garde nail designs. Working closely with the nail experts, she curated a look that perfectly complemented Cecilia’s gothic themes, adding an extra layer of artistry to the overall presentation. This attention to detail was crucial in creating a cohesive visual identity for the show.

Robecca's multifaceted role involved a range of tasks, from PR and email marketing to pitching to the press. Her design consulting and regular meetings with NZ Fashion Week ensured that every aspect of the shows aligned with the overarching vision. Sans Pareil remains very committed to New Zealand fashion and designers, and we always welcome up and coming designers to reach out and see how we can work together.
